Winter Carnival Medallion Contest
The Winter Carnival Committee would like to offer a second medallion hunt for the history lovers in the community. The first medallion was located within the Village proper in a village public park... but that may or may not be the case for the second mystery hunt.
A special “Thank-you” goes out to our esteemed local historian, Mr. Hugh Cooke MacDougall, who is responsible for the fascinating notes and stories found in the Cooper Society collections (jfcoopersociety.org). Mr. MacDougall is a treasure to our community.
A second very special thank you to Marcy Birch for putting together this additional Medallion hunt for you all!
The clues will be shared here on this page, and on our social media (Facebook and Instagram) each day at 12pm just like before.
***The Medallion has been found, however there is a sign in it's place and finders are to keep the location a secret so that they hunt may continue for others! Enjoy!! *** See the winners on the home page
The prizes for the Medallion Hunts are sponsored by: The Barnyard Swing, A Rose is a Rose, Cooperstown Diner, Mels at 22, Escape 2 Serenity, Bocca Osteria, New York Pizzeria, Upstate Bar & Grill, Ommegang Brewery, Stagecoach Coffee & Kate’s Upstate!!
Please note that the #2 clue mentions a monument (which can be googled), and the medallion is NOT in the cemetery where that monument is.
PLEASE stay safe and be respectful of the land. The medallion is not hidden anyplace where you would need to put yourself in harms way to find it.
