Cooperstown Winter Carnival Returns February 16-21, 2021!
The Cooperstown Winter Carnival will return to bring entertainment and wintery fun Tuesday, February 16 through Sunday February 21, 2021. The events will be extended a few extra days this year to provide more activities, and to encourage more people to visit our local businesses and restaurants throughout the whole week while following COVID-19 safety guidelines. The Cooperstown Winter Carnival mission is to bring light and laughter into dark days of winter by getting out and connecting with community, while celebrating and promoting our community organizations and businesses. This year a variety of new experiences will be created to be sure that the fun of Cooperstown Winter Carnival goes on despite the pandemic!
The theme for this year’s carnival is “Around the World (But Safe at Home).” Some of the events to look forward to include an essay contest on what it means to be a citizen of the world, quizzes about flags and countries, several virtual contests including a snowman building contest and talent show, and a punch card activity requiring a stop at each participating business for their mark to be entered in the drawing for a prize. The fan favorite hunt for the medallion will take place as well! The committee is encouraging local businesses and restaurants to embrace the theme by offering meal or purchase specials inspired by other countries. If your organization is hosting an event or offering a special during that week please contact the committee at email@example.com to be added to the schedule!
